Mingzhan equips complete testing devices to ensure quality of our tapes and adhesive films.
- XRF analyzer
- Video measuring system
- Computer-controlled peel strength tester
- Resistivity Tester
- Constant temperature and humidity system
- Lasting adhesive tester
- Oil, water and impurities on adhered surface should be completely cleaned before using tape.
- Press via roller after adhering to obtain optimal adhesion.
- Optimal environmental temperature for adhering: 20°C~30°C.
- To promote adhesion to EPDM, urethane, nylon, PP, PVC, etc., consider using our primer for adhered surface treatment.
- Most tapes are not removable, please make sure tapes are placed properly before adhering.
- Please avoid storing tapes in high-temperature environment, to prevent adhesive migration.
- Materials with high surface energies are easy to be adhered, while those with low surface energies are hard to be adhered.

Testing method to evaluate adhesion (initial adhesion)
J.DOW method: a 2/32 inch - 32/32 inch steel ball starts sliding on a 30° smooth slope for a distance d1, then move on the adhesive, slides for a distance d2 before stopping, d1 and d2 are preset, and the adhesion is measured by the size of the largest steel ball that can finish d2.
- Testing conditions: JIS Z 0237 12
- Benchmark environment: 23°C/65°CRH
- Accelerating distance (d1): 100mm
- Sliding distance (d2): 100mm
-
Testing method to evaluate tape’s adhesion on adhered surface
- Testing condition: JIS Z 0237 8
- Testing benchmarks:
- Adhered item: SUS304 steel plate, finished by 280# waterproof abrasive paper.
- Tested tape width: 20mm(25mm)
- Adhering test preparation: after adhering in 23°C/65%RH environment, press by 2KG roller for 3 times, them place for 20 minutes.
- Testing environment: 23°C/65%RH
- Peeling: ∠180° or ∠90° peeling at 300mm/min
- Unit: gf/20mm(gf/25mm)
-
